I don’t care how many times this building gets posted… I will always reblog. It’s one beautiful building! Do you know the story behind the murals?
The construction of the building and the murals were part of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s New Deal Act under The Works Progress Administration. It was the largest and most ambitious New Deal agency, employing millions of unskilled workers to carry out public works projects, including the construction of public buildings and roads, and operated large arts, drama, media, and literacy projects.
Similar murals were recently discovered behind plaster walls inside of Brooks Hall, home to The Terry College of Business.
